Why Draco

That’s the Draco difference.

How It's Made

Draco uses a submerged arc pull-through auto-welder (shown above!) to fabricate highly durable column and rafter sections.  Our “welded three-plate” design joins plasma-cut sections of steel plate and flat bar to make sturdy mainframes that will last for years and years.

When To Use Rigid Frames

Our rigid frame design is ideal for both highly complex jobs and larger projects requiring wide clear-span floorplans, such as warehouses and distribution centers, manufacturing and industrial plants, aircraft hangars, and data centers.

What's In A Name?

People often call rigid frame steel buildings “red iron” because of the red oxide shop coatings used in the industry.  For a higher-end, professional look, Draco uses a grey shop coat (not red) and a hot-dipped galvanized finish on our secondary framing (“purlins and girts” or “cees and zees”).
